Five questions, hopping, fawking and a whole lot of sunshine!

It's another gorgeous 77 degree October day. Leaves are turning, sun is shining, and the campus is buzzing with excitement for tomorrows home game. I love these last glimpses of summer. I love walking outside with sweatshirts and the temperature being just perfect and the air crisp. I especially love Friday's because there is no school tomorrow, no work, and a whole lot of togetherness.Hope you are all enjoying the pumpkin bread, apple cider, caramel apples, and all the comforting wonderment of carbs and sugar that autumn brings! Everything in moderation my friends, except for love and hugs.The skies the limit!Happy Friday!

1. What do you listen to while driving? If the kids are in  the car, radio Disney , Wiggles, Laurie Berkner or Yo Gabba Gabba! If it's just me, I play whatever I want...really,really loud!

2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall? I really love fall but if I had to pick one thing, I'd say the smell of wet maple leaves, its right up there with the smell of wet dog!

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out? I don't have enough time or imagination to answer that but from shopping around I'd say something around 5000 sf, 3 floors + walkout basement, huge master with sitting area and huge master bath, 4+ bedrooms,4 baths, play room, bar,LR, DR, family room off of ginormous modern kitchen, sunroom, loft area, brick, with large deck and patio leading to inground pool, play area with loads of trees and an English garden.

4. Would you ever own a minivan? NOT EVEN IF HELL FROZE OVER!!! This is my Mommy mobile that I want

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them? I used to for the girls, but I don't for the Big Guy or myself.

Just For Now

Happy Friday, my friends!Even Better, Happy First Day of October!! Here in the Midwest, leaves are changing, the sun is shining, pumpkins are ripe, bonfires are burning, apples are begging to be picked, chili to be made, cozy sweaters to be worn, cuddles to be given to spread the warmth! Oh, how I love fall! So I am pretty excited. First of all , it's Friday..you know what that means, I get to see the Big Guy for dinner tonight! Ladies, if you get to see your husband every night for dinner..don't take it for granted. You don't truly understand what a big deal it is until you don't have it anymore. I'm also pretty excited for several other reasons. But mostly because I get to cuddle the Big Guy and my girls!Life is beautiful, even if it is just for now.

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from? I had a pen pal, a boy from Turkey. We are grown ups and have been pen pals for 33 years. Now, we share pictures of our children.

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be? I'd love to actually get paid for writing. Right now, I get paid to edit university students papers!

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little? I was afraid of the dark. There was no door on the closet and my overactive imagination always saw shadows and movement in the clothes.Now, I am like a Vampire, I like it as dark as possible.

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why? Talking to stupid people. It makes my head hurt, it frustrates me repeating myself, is a general waste of my time and energy. then they usually try to use words that they don't know how to use correctly and it makes me insane!

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?

My Grandma's ancient Bulova, it must be like one of the first ones ever made. I love it!

• SUPER DUPER FAWK YOU in the EAR to the mysterious black eye that I woke up with from my love/ hate relationship I had with the toilet the night of my birthday!

• Fawk you to the mean girl from ballet class.
• Fawk you to never getting enough sleep! Lord, I need a nap!
• Fawk You to the Big Guy getting sick and being homesick in the same day..poor guy!
• Fawk you to my 5 inch hooker heels who tried to mutiny on me while out in Chicago for the first time in YEARS! Oh yeah, you thought a little hyperextended foot action was going to stop me? Tequila shut you up didn't it?

A Birthday wish, Hopping, Fawking and More Fawking!

Happy Friday!Well, I am trying to make it a happy Friday! I awoke in a little bit of a funk, don't you hate when that happens? I should be ecstatic since the Big Guy will be here for dinner tonight and the girl will be out of school for the weekend. I think it may be the prospect of all of this housework that's got me in the dumps.I guess I better just pull up my big girl panties and get to it...just as soon as I'm done with this post.Hope you are all having a wondrous Friday and looking forward to an even more splendid weekend. Ok, lovely readers of mine, I have 1 week and a day before my birthday! If you've been following me already you know that I am desperately trying to reach a goal of 1000 blog followers by my birthday. It's my gift to myself! 1.   When I get a day to myself I like to...drink something warm, take a long, hot bath, lie in bed and watch veg movies ( like 80's veg out movies).Meander around the house and enjoy the silence...nap!OMG, doesn't that sound absolutely perfect. Hey anybody looking for a birthday present for Truthful Mommy..let's make that happen:)Hear me Mom? *wink *wink*

2.  High school was....filled with new experiences and great friends. I loved high school. They say life is high school.I agree. Life is pretty great for me...most days:) Not Monday or Tuesday of this week but usually!


3.  A little dream I have is to write for SheKnows,Babble, or contribute to a major paper. Oh yeah and to have 1000 + blog followers by next Saturday!


4.  A big dream I have is  to start with a column, evolve into a book, become an empire and to travel the entire world with the Big Guy and my girls. I want to be Queen of my Destiny and I want the journey to be glorious. Is that asking too much? I think not!


5.  If I could drive any car my pick would be  

I just think this SUV is sexy and sleek. I'd feel powerful and hot driving it around town...chauffeuring rug rats!LOL

 6.  A time that I felt really and truly beautiful was  the moment my husband told me that he loved me for the first time. We were home on break from school in the fall,back when we were both much younger and thinner, we were kissing and he pulled away and looked at me and whispered..I love you. I knew he meant it. We had been dating for a little over a month. He scared me. He shocked me. But I could see it all over his face...I was home and I have never felt so beautiful as I did in those few extremely unconditional moments.



7.  Tomorrow I will.... spend the day with the Big Guy and our girls ,hopefully,  not doing much of anything. I need a rest! Lots of relaxing and loving on one another and I am really hoping for a nap!

The Big Guy is headed home to our zip code, the Bellarini will be headed home soon and it will be cuddle, snuggles and naps all around! And my Gabs, that little golden nugget is sitting by my side watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...ever so quietly.Coffee is piping hot and in this moment life is pretty SWEET!Most of you have heard about my Be a Better Me Challenge that I have been doing this month, in honor of my birthday. 1. The strangest thing I've ever eaten is ...alligator in New Orleans and rattlesnake and goat in Mexico.

2. I wouldn't be caught dead.... naked in public. It's not pretty anymore and I'm pretty sure I'd give some people heart attacks (not in a good way) and probably be the cause of some in mouth regurgitation! Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Don't feel pity for me, I can get back into shape...I just gotta get working at it.


3. When I am 75 I will.... be just like Aunt Sally, she is beautiful inside and out, she lives loud and balls to the wall. She has eeked every ounce of life she can out of her 80+ years. She is my hero. When I am her age, I want to be agile, able, still driving, teasing the boys, funny, uber lovable, enjoying cocktails with my bestest friends. I want to live every single day like its my last, starting now!


4. If I had to be named after a place I would want to be named... Virginia like the gorgeous state...the place where I left a big chunk of my heart last fall.

5. My name is "Deborah" - after my Mom's bestie- "Asuzenna" - a bastardization of my Dad's little sister's name Asusana. I love my name, it's especially funny to hear the way people fuck it up. At high school graduation it was OHSUSANA, at college it was INFLUENZA, and at my wedding it was Insuzensa
.It's Ah-SU-ZEE-NA. Now you all know.

6. My all time favorite photo is.... a photo of the Big Guy and I when we first started dating. We were both in college, terribly young and equally in love. We both have the biggest  smiles on our faces. I look a that picture and I remember how very lucky I am , and all the excitement and love that I felt in that moment to be with him..that picture can carry me through the rest of my life.No matter what kind of day I have, I can look at that picture and know that somewhere in the world the most amazing man I have ever known...loves me!
The other photo I absolutely adore is one of my girls when Gabs was a week old. I love seeing Bella looking at Gabs with such love, and Gabs looking up to Bella with complete trust and adoration.

7. If I could afford it... I would pay off all of our debt and our house, then I'd pay off my parents house, and my In laws house for them.If I could afford it, none of my friends and family would want for anything and then I'd take all of our stress free asses on a vacation to Greece.

Hopping, Fawking & a pretty much all around Good Time!

 Happy Friday everyone! It's that day of the week again when its time to get your socialization on! Once again, I am blog hopping like a madwoman trying to reach my birthday goal of 1000 followers by September 25th. 1.  If I didn't have to work anymore I would.... travel the world with my family and then travel some more!

2.  My favorite thing about a vacation is .... getting away from the minutia of my everyday;experiencing new things, people, places, and the vacation mentality...all bets are off, there are no limits.

3.  When packing for a trip I.... pack half the house up because I have little kids, then I squeeze all of my husbands and my stuff into a carry on bag. Always over packing ( cause lets face it all I really need is a pair of shorts, t-shirt,a bathing suit,a pair of jeans, a nice shirt and a dress & undies, of course) and never actually bringing what I actually want to wear.

4.  If I could go on a road trip with anyone (dead OR alive) I would choose...( aside from the big guy) my 2 best girlfriends; Nikki and Nicole because we would have an absolute blast  and we would go somewhere in the Mediterranean were there is loads of sun, beaches, hot men for your viewing pleasure ( as we are all married and looking is all we can do:), good food, good wine, and good friends & conversation; really what more could I ask for?

OOPs, just saw that it said "ROAD TRIP" so same people, same, reason,  but we would go from Chicago to the west coast, enjoying some girl time, the great outdoors,  culminating in California with some good shopping and spa treatments!

5.  My top 3 absolute travel essentials are ...my iphone, my sunglasses, my toothbrush!

6.  Vacations are ... a well deserved break from every day life.

7.  On vacation you must always  ...relax, enjoy your surroundings, live in the moment, leave your worries far, far away.

Now for my FAWK yous of the day:

• Fawk you to this jacked up sickness that has taken me hostage for the past week. Sure I love sounding like an old smoker, coughing up my lung, cold sweats,and general malaise as much as anyone but enough already!
• Fawk you to my RX laced cough syrup that helps me to sleep but makes me see unicorns and ligers. Oh wait, no ..no fawk you to that!
• Fawk you to having to "watch the money"! I just want to experience a little bit of excess of money sometime.
• Fawk you to Irish football starting this weekend; my town is overrun with crazed football fans jamming my route to Bella's school. Get out of my way people!
  Fawk You to the little one catching whatever I have. Sick Mommy + Sick Baby = Not a good time!
• Fawk You to my 3 year old telling random people "You must be going to have baby. Your tummy is all lumpy!"
• Oh yeah, FAWK ME because she said it to me too:)

A Goal, A Hop (or 7) & a little about the TRUTH!

1.  The most adventurous thing I've ever done is   trekked the jungles of the Amazon, swam with piranha, no...climbed mount Kilimanjaro. Just kidding, maybe petted a shark, eaten snake,alligator, eaten the worm.NO, got engaged after only knowing my husband for 3 months. Drove to Southern Mexico. Experienced transition labor without an epidural!The list is endless; I am a virtual cornucopia of adventurous happenings!LOL

4.  I feel happiest when  I am loving on my husband and girls; just the four of us or when I am lying on some table surrounded by the scent of lavender,with sounds of the hump back whales mating playing softly in the background as some burly woman named Helga massages all of the stress away at some spa..while sipping on champagne while my husband watches the girls. Oh yes,I need a spa day..STAT!This may make me happier than anything:)LOL

5.  A little dream I have for my life is   to become a published author, maybe start with a syndicated column, then parlay that in to a book and be bale to live on the payment for that:)
 

6.  The one modern convenience I could NOT do without is my Iphone,I need some sort of meeting. I am totally addicted to that thing. If I leave home without it, I am overcome with sheer terror:)

7.  Music, movies, TV or books:  if I could only choose one to enjoy I would pick Music & Books. I can't choose. Please don't make me!
